If you are shopping for ideas for your wedding or groom’s cakes, a perfect place to visit is the Wedding Cake Quarter. It is a major feature of Canada’s Baking and Sweets Show.

The Wedding Cake competition presented by Weddings & Honeymoons is where the creations of top cake makers compete to win the pride of place.

You will see the modern wedding cakes that have grown out of a harmonious synthesis of various traditions. Cakes that are so high they almost reach the sky. Or the decorations are ornately. And some that are just simple yet elegant. Inspirations come from everywhere. And each of the wedding cakes have great ideas and amazing craftsmanship.

The wedding cake competition choices are so immaculately decorated that it is difficult to say which has been crafted by professionals. And which by home cake enthusiasts. The talent displayed by the cake artists are unique and outstanding.

You will be able to get some ideas for your big day. There are eight Professional Baking Competitions and five home-baked contests held at the show. One of the baking competitions is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory theme cakes. Others are for cupcakes, lollicakes, fudge, breads, truffles and original pastries.

This is a show that event planners visit to pick up some contacts and ideas. You will be able to get some gorgeous ideas for your big day, just like the planners.

Celebrity show guests are The Ace of Cakes Duff Goldman and Canadian chef Anna Olson. And pastry chef from Chicago, Gale Gand. The exhibitor products at the show include baking, sweets, confectioneries, coffee and tea, kitchenware and more.

The 5th annual Canada’s Baking and Sweets Show is the first and largest show dedicated to everything baked and sweet. The show is presented by Redpath Sugar. And the sponsors are Fleischmann’s and Virgin Ice.
