It is just so special. It’s Afternoon Tea at The Cadogan Hotel.

The Cadogan one of the best hotel getaways in London.

London, England. In March 2013, The Cadogan Hotel menu addition was a new Afternoon Tea with Partridges. In addition to the hotel, Partridges is the Royal Warrant holders as grocers to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Will Oakley, General Manager at the hotel said: “It has been great to team up with Partridges to create a quintessentially British Afternoon Tea. Especially with themes and novelty teas. It is recapturing the quality of Afternoon Tea and celebrating its Britishness.”

The tea features all the items you want with your tea. Such as sandwiches, home-bake scones and pastries. For something special, it includes a Chelsea Bun. The Bun was made in the 18th Century at the famous Old Bun House near Grosvenor Row.

The hotel has guestrooms and suites, a restaurant and private rooms. It was built in 1887 by William Willett.  And all areas of the hotel decor create an exceptional standard of luxury.

Irish author, playwright and poet Oscar Wilde was a frequent visitor at The Cadogan. And his stay was always in room 118.

New Update. The hotel has been renamed Belmond Cadogan Hotel, and it is scheduled to open in 2018.

The Belmond website notes the Cadogan historic property dating back to 1887. The new plans for the hotel include fully renovation of its 54 rooms and suites. And a gourmet restaurant that will reflect the hotel’s rich heritage.

Built in the Queen Anne style, the hotel has long been an integral role in the social history of the Kensington and Chelsea areas. The multi-million dollar project draws inspiration from the neighborhoods’ rich character. And offers an elegant meeting place for both international visitors and the local community.

If you visit the hotel when they are open, I hope they will still be serving afternoon tea.
