Just like Charlie in Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory, you can take a tour of the wedding cakes, best sweets and baked goods at this year’s show. This delicious and inspiring event theme is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Sounds great already for the Canada Baking Sweets Show!

Celebrity guests to this year’s event include the Ace of Cakes Duff Goldman. Canadian celebrity chef Anna Olson. Pastry chef from Chicago, Gale Gand. Cake and confection designer Sweetapolita. And Cordon Blue chefs.

With several inspiring themed zones, special guests, demonstrations and hands-on classes, the show offers an array of things to explore, discover and buy.

It is just in time for Thanksgiving, Halloween and the holiday season. Great place to help you plan your wedding menus. As well as birthdays, dinner parties, intimate dinners or just to satisfy a sweet-tooth.

The kids in your wedding party can enjoy the family zone that helps develop and share their passion for baking.

At the Wedding Cake Quarter competition, presented by Weddings & Honeymoons, you will see cakes that are tiered high, or decorated ornately. And some that are simple yet elegant. Inspirations come from everywhere. Each of the wedding cakes displayed are imbued with great ideas and amazing craftsmanship.

Since its inception in 2011, the show has supported undiscovered Canadian talent and continues to bring some of the best and most skilled bakers in the country under one roof. You can watch the Canadian Talent Showcase competitions for both master chefs and passionate bakers.

Back by popular demand is the Virgin Ice Baking Academy, created for people with a passion for baking, who are looking for inspiration. One-hour demonstrations are available as well as two-and-a-half hour hands-on classes.

Visitors can expect to see the most delectable and hottest trends as well as products from exhibitors in a range of categories including baking, sweets and confectionery, coffee and tea, kitchenware and pain relief.

The 5th annual Canada’s Baking and Sweets Show is at the Toronto Congress Centre. The event is North America’s first and largest show with dedication to everything that you can bake. Admission: One day $20 adult. $12 senior (65+). Student (13-17).
Friday show special $6 for students and teachers with valid identification.
