Affordable destination weddings in the Wildwoods

The Wildwoods are three separate municipalities – Wildwood, North Wildwood and Wildwood Crest in New Jersey that make up the five-mile island that is a popular summer resort destination and home to one of the country’s “Top Ten Boardwalks,” as named by National Geographic Traveler with three fun-filled amusement piers and three waterparks perfect for a fun time in the sun.

The amusement piers are home to more rides than Disneyland including world-class rollers coasters as well as favorites like the 156-foot high Ferris wheel overlooking the beach and ocean, swimming, surfing, boogie boarding, sailing, whale watching, dining, a surrey or bike ride along the boardwalk, free summertime concerts or a tour of the island's Doo-Wop architecture.

The song Rock Around the Clock, often credited as the first rock and roll record, was first performed on Memorial Day weekend in 1954 at the HofBrau Hotel in Wildwood by Bill Haley & His Comets. The song's status gave the the island its claim as "the birthplace of rock and roll".
 
Wildwoods Convention Center
The venue is located directly on the beach and overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It has rooms for weddings from 50 to 1,000 guests and a staff of culinary experts, wedding planners and décor specialists.

Weddings on a Whim is new wedding package in the area designed for today's economy budgets that is targeted to brides and grooms who are looking to have their weddings sooner than later. Couples who book the package and hold their wedding within 30 days of their booking will receive a 10% discount on the already low per-person prices.

The all-inclusive reception for wedding guests includes a three course meal from which two main courses can be chosen, a four-hour open bar, hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, a champagne toast, intermezzo, coffee and tea service, and a choice of standard table linens.

The Weddings on a Whim package does not include a minimal cost of room rental and décor for the wedding ceremony and reception. Room rentals are based on available space and additional charges may apply based on the number of attendees.

Proposals
The Wildwoods, NJ are a spectacular destination for marriage proposals at the shore. In the past, the Wildwoods have had couples get engaged on the 156-foot tall Ferris wheel at Morey’s Piers, as well as inside the Wildwoods Boardwalk’s Adventure Mirror Maze.

Some other proposal location options include on the beach, on a roller coaster, in an arcade or ice cream shop, on a whale-watching cruise, or at the beautiful English gardens at the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse.
 
Honeymoons
The Wildwoods have oceanfront hotels overlooking the Atlantic and the Wildwoods’ beaches – most with full suites available or other accommodation options for honeymooners.
 
Restaurants
The Wildwoods also offer a variety of dining options, from upscale seafood & Italian restaurants to Doo-Wop Diners & traditional boardwalk fare – like pizza, French fries and funnel cakes.
