Tips for planning and what to wear


If you want to get married before your baby arrives, then you know how many months you have to plan the wedding.

If you became pregnant after you had set your wedding date and reception venue, then it is important to make sure your dress or gown will compliment your shape the month you are getting married. Let your designer or retailer know your condition and your due date when you select your outfit. There are several styles that will compliment the shape you will be in.

Yours is a quick marriage, the first thing to do is to decide where you want to get married. If it is in a house of worship then be in touch with the clergy or officiant and let him know over the phone that you are pregnant. Don't be overly embarrassed - you're not the first.

If you have any friends or family who are not comfortable with your condition or wedding plans do not invite them to be part of your wedding party or to be a guest at your wedding. There is enough emotional stress connected with weddings in general. You don't need to have more created for you.

There's usually no sense pretending otherwise. Your Maid of Honor can theme one of your showers as a bridal-baby shower. Then you get the best of both events.

Pregnant Bride Lily Allen weds fiancée

CRANHAM, England - Singer Lily Allen (Smile) and builder, Sam Cooper, left, were married in the village of Cranham, in the English countryside near Gloucester, at St. James the Great Church.

The bride chose a vintage inspired gown with long lace sleeves and a fishtail skirt with a long train by French designer Delphine Manivet. Her headpiece and veil was Princes Leia-esque embellishments along the side, and she carried a bouquet of white roses.

Allen had two pair of custom-made bridal shoes by British designer Rupert Sanderson. Her bridal heels were Sanderson’s skyscraper Hydra open-toe pumps with 5½-in heels. Her reception shoes were Sanderson’s Rossini flats. More details in Celebrity Weddings 2011.

The newlyweds welcomed a baby girl November 25, 2011.
