The Hotel Regina Isabella is a five-star luxury resort and thermal spa on the Mediterranean island of Ischia.

The Regina Isabella Thermal Springs are of ancient origin and possess unique therapeutic properties found nowhere else in the world.

The Greeks colonized Ischia in 770 B.C., which was the first Greek colony in the West.

The ancient community was located exactly where the hotel is now situated. The ancient Romans discovered these hot springs renowned for centuries for its remarkable healing properties.
 
The thermal spa takes an advance integrated approach to wellness with health and beauty treatments designed to help guest achieve total equilibrium of body, mind and spirit.

The spa offers a range of gentle, holistic, non-invasive procedures. These include thermal water treatments, physiotherapy and osteopathy, thermal mud applications, dermatological treatments and a wide selection of massage therapies, as well as gymnastics, and relaxation therapies.

The hotel was built in the 1950s by publisher Angelo Rizzoli and instantly became a hot spot for celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton who stayed there in 1961 while filming Cleopatra.

The spa is nestled on a tranquil cove framed by rocky cliffs in the seaside town of Lacco Ameno.

Decorated in the rich style of the ‘50s, complete with authentic Capodimonte ceramic floors, Murano glass chandeliers, and paintings and tapestries with some elements of Neapolitan baroque antiques.
