| CRUISE HONEYMOONS
CRUISING IN THE MEDITERRANEAN
EUROPEAN HONEYMOONS
By Shelley Waugh
A honeymoon is a trip of a lifetime and having it on a cruise is a good idea for romantic dinners, dancing under the stars, relaxation, comfort, well-being, and fun while you sail between beautiful ports and have an opportunity to share the discovery of different cultures and landscapes.
A shipline, MSC Cruises, currently has a fleet of eight ships cruising in the Mediterranean year round and seasonally in Northern Europe, Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean and South America. The newest addition to the fleet, MSC Poesia, will transport newlyweds on 7-night cruises to Greece, Turkey and Croatia. Departing from Venice every Saturday starting April 19 to November 8, these cruises will call into Bari, Katakolon, Izmir, Istanbul and Dubrovnik. Rates begin at US$899 per person for an interior stateroom.
The shipline has a saving program called “Best Fare, Best Room” rates, which provide the best stateroom available within their desired category (interior, oceanview, balcony) at the time of booking. All prices cited are cruise-only per person, double occupancy; government fees and taxes are additional, as is a fuel surcharge. Additional restrictions may apply. Book early to get the best available accommodations.
MSC Cruises is a partner of the city of Venice and a member of the Club - ‘Friends of Venice’ as well as one of the supporters for the project ‘Venice Blue Flag,’ which sets the standards for the carbon emissions. For more information about MSC Cruises and its European honeymoons, visit
