WOMEN PROPOSING IN LEAP YEAR
If you didn't get an engagement ring on Valentine's Day and feel he is the right one, then on February 29th, Leap Day, tradition says -- women are “allowed” to propose marriage. With this chance coming only once every four years, you can plan your proposal to him. Here are some proposal tips

Don't think you're all alone - 9% of proposals are from women to men, Monica proposed to Chandler in Friends, and so did Miranda to Steve in Sex and the City.

The key is to fall in love with the right person in the first place. If you really do want to propose, and you've known him longer than six months, and everything about him, and if he proposed to you, you would of said yes, then you know you're probably in the right place.

After you've figured out where you want to do this, perhaps at a memorable or romantic place where you both were together, now comes the proposal itself that you'll try to keep simple. Then the ring. Why not. Could be an engagement or wedding ring.

Don't get down on one knee, especially if you're in stilettos or if you do plan your outfit so there are no suprises. Try not to give your plans away by showing how nervous you are. A successful marriage proposal includes four elements: surprise. a positive memory, being meaningful, and receiving a "yes" to the marriage proposal. Good luck!

PROPOSAL MENU FOR LEAP YEAR
You might get some ideas from the May Fair, left, a contemporary luxury hotel in the heart of London, England, that has a “Leap Year Proposal” package until March 16th. The hotel’s Proposal Butler offers a Proposal Menu, and will also help tailor proposals for each fiancé-to-be. Any purchases (tickets, reservations, etc.) made by the butler for the proposal is added to its package.

The Proposal Menu includes:
• Top-of-the-World Proposal. Propose from a private capsule on the London Eye, the world’s largest observation wheel, over a bottle of Champagne and Champagne Truffles.

• A–MAZE-ING Proposal. Get lost and find each other again in the Hampton Court Labyrinth, set in the beautiful gardens of the Hampton Court Castle alongside the River Thames. Surprise your beloved in the maze’s center with Champagne and a proposal.

• James Bond-Style Proposal. A private dealer is hired to host a card game in the hotel’s Palms Casino. Proposal is written on dealt card in game of Black Jack, Poker, etc.

• A Thames Proposal.Propose on a Bateaux dinner cruise along the River Thames, overlooking the breathtaking London cityscape.

• “Bottoms Up” Proposal. Have a Martini served with his engagement or wedding ring in the bottom of the Martini Glass.

• Proposal on the Big Screen. Create a proposal video, capturing key relationship moments, and feature it in The May Fair’s private theater.

• A Serpentine Proposal. Rent a row boat on Serpentine Lake in Hyde Park; bring some bubbly and propose in the center of the lake.

• The Kew for a Proposal. Visit the beautiful Princess of Wales Conservatory in Kew Gardens. Pop the question over dinner at the gorgeous Orangery restaurant.

• Sky’s the Limit Proposal. Take your beloved to Primrose Hill, or another high point, and hire a plane to fly by with your wedding proposal attached on a banner.

• Football Lover’s Proposal. Take your boyfriend to a football match and have your proposal written on the big screen.

The Schiaparelli Suite, left, who’s name was inspired by designer Elsa Schiaparelli, is situated in a corner location, taking advantage of large windows overlooking Stratton Street and Berkeley Street. Decorated in vibrant hot pink tones, the suite offers an alma fuscia pony skin wall, a Harrison and Gil hand-carved headboard and Chinese antiques. The sitting room features flexform furniture, a marble dining floor and a remote controlled fireplace.
