STARS SHOW TUXEDO TRENDS

Justin & Selena play dress-up - What not to do

November 20, 2011, AMA, Nokia Theatre, Los Angeles
Justin Bieber's tux stylist isn't getting it
Pictures don't lie! Make sure when you are being fitted for your tuxedo that it fits properly - the shirt, the vest, the jacket, the pants and the shoes!

Whoever choose the velvet tux for Justin Bieber to wear at the American Music Awards didn't do him any favours. The vintage '20s theme just didn't work with his slicked down hair and an outfit that was too big for him.

In most tuxedo images of Bieber his shirt is always too big for him - all that money and they can't find him a shirt that fits!

Selena Gomez wore a champagne satin Armani '20s style dress - a prom maybe, better a Halloween party - but not the AMA red carpet.

53rd Annual Grammy Awards

Some of the stars who arrived on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards (CBS-TV) wearing tux combinations that only they could get away with. Justin Bieber said "his tux made him feel like James Bond." His stylist should be called out for letting him wear an outfit that was too big for him including the shirt. The velvet, cream-color three-piece tuxedo with white satin labels, shirt and bow tie, all by Dolce & Gabbana was a good idea but not a good fit.

Rob Kardashian of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, shown with his sister, Kim Kardashian, had a real clean look with the velvet bow tie and printed blazer. The silver pants added a great touch of color that still kept the suit balanced and sophisticated.

Ricky Martin had a great look on top but the aluminum foil tight pants didn't work so we won't show them.

Drake was cool in a black-on-black ensenble.

Bruno Mars was one of the hits of the eveing in a black tux, no tie and pompadour.

Singer/songwriter/record producer Raphael Saadig was one of the best dressed hands in
printed two button classic tuxedo blazzer with lined pants worn with a chocolate bow tie.

68th Annual Golden Globes Awards 2011

BEVERLY HILLS, CA, January 16, 2011 - Hollywood's male stars from Brad Pitt, left, to newcomer Justin Bieber, showed the latest tuxedo trends on the red carpet. Most of the guys kept their look sharp but simple and opted for black ensemble but what distinguished their looks were ties and bow ties.

Brad Pitt was in a Tom Ford black suit with bow tie. He hit red carpet with slicked-back hair, sunglasses and beautiful Angelina Jolie.

Ryan Gosling was one of the best dressed men as he sported a timeless look. The 30-year-old Blue Valentine actor wore a black velvet classic Ferragamo suit and Hugo Boss black velvet bow tie.

Chris Hemsworth (Thor), wore an Giorgio Armani two-button shawl collar tuxedo with a fluffed bow tie and well-styled hair.

Zac Efron suited up in Calvin Klein with neck tie and flaunted his cropped hairdo at the event.

Justin Bieber went little different and opted for three-piece D&G tuxedo. The 16-year-old teen heartthrob flaunted a grown-up look but kept his black / white sneakers on.

Johnny Depp wore a Ralph Lauren Black Label tuxedo with no tie and looked dashing as ever showing his pocket watch.
