bride's calendar countdown (continued)

The Day Before Your Wedding

1. The Bride should pamper herself - have a manicure, pedicure, massage or go to the gym. Do not do anything to your face, such as having a facial and above all, try not to argue with anyone.

2. The Bride and Groom should go over the envelopes containing the moneys to pay the fees for services. The Groom or his Best Man will take care of handing them out.

3. Arrive at your rehearsal early so you can greet your wedding party. Have a copy of the guest list to give the Ushers. Make sure they know of any guests who may be handicapped or elderly and who is seating in the reserved section at the front.

4. Prepare a small satchel for the Maid of Honor that will include an extra pair of stockings, safety pins, tissues or any other personal item that you might need but don't want to carry.

5. Prepare a smaller bag for your Maid of Honor to carry during the ceremony. It should include a handkerchief or tissues, lipstick and a small mirror for touch-ups.

6. Check out all the clothes you are wearing on your wedding day. Make sure everything is in its place - your undergarments, makeup, jewellery.

7. Get a good night's sleep.

Your Wedding Day

1. Depending upon the time lines of the day give yourself plenty of time to relax. Let the day take on its own life the way you have planned it. The main thing is to have time on your side for the unexpected. You may feel that you are too excited to eat, but it is important that you keep your energy throughout your special day. Therefore, have fruits or salads available to nibble on.

2. If your photographer and videographer are both scheduled to start shooting and taping at your home, give yourself plenty of time to devote to hair, makeup and dress.

3. This is your special celebration. You've planned it along with the assistance of people who love you. If something goes wrong, it's part of the day; take it as it comes; don't panic or become upset and let it work itself out.

4. Congratulations and enjoy your wedding day.
